July Cake of the Month
Four-tiered
cake featuring
gumpaste
flowers in pastel colors. The
tiers were covered with side
scrolls with tip 140 borders.
The bottom borders were
accented with pastel royal
icing roses with
gumpaste
rose leaves. The floral
sprays of
gumpaste flowers with
silk filler flowers,
butterflies and fern were
arranged using a
styrofoam
oasis .
The top tier featured an
extended tip 140 top border
making a border around the
porcelain doll.
The flavors
were lemon/lemon filling;
white/strawberry filling;
chocolate fudge/Bavarian cream
filling. The
tiers
were 8”, 10”, 12” and
16”.
