Cake of the Month

This was the Bride's Cake for a reception held at the parent's home in California
following a large wedding in New York.  This was a 10" carrot cake filled with a cream cheese filling and covered with white buttercream.  The borders were tip 21 shell with tip 14 stars piped between each shell.  Tip 16 scrolls were piped on the sides.  The roses were made from gumpaste on toothpicks, dusted with luster dusts and steamed.  A groom's cake with a "Mexican" theme which was chocolate and covered with chocolate fudge buttercream and a lemon cake with lemon filling covered with white buttercream featuring "Hello Kitty" completed the cakes for the reception.  The bride's parents wanted something different and unusual instead of the traditonal wedding cake for the reception in California.
