CAKE OF THE MONTH – JANUARY 2006

SNOWMAN CANDLE
Three 7-inch layers were filled, stacked and covered with white buttercream.
A background of blue snowflakes was then airbrushed around the sides.
The trees and snowmen were cut from gumpaste, dusted with super pearl dust and steamed. The details on the snowmen were done with Easy Writer food pens.
Icing was spread on the top of the candle to resemble melted wax flowing from the flame.
The flame was made with fondant using an Easy Writer food pen to paint the red flame inside the yellow flame.
Edible glitter was generously sprinkled over the top for a finishing touch.
