Cake of the Month – March 2009

 

 

Tim and Cindy’s Cupcake Tree

 

Five flavors of cupcakes were used for this cupcake tree.

The flavors were Amaretto, Classic White, Coconut, Kahlua Chocolate and Tequila Rose.

 

 

Top Tier

 

The top tier was Classic White covered with white buttercream. Red roses decorated the top and monogram letters formed from red fondant decorated the side of the cake.

 

 

Decorations for cupcakes

 

Each flavor of cupcake was identified by the decoration on top.  The red rose was Kahlua Chocolate, The pink rose was Tequila Rose, the palm tree was Coconut, the red heart was Classic White and the flip flop was Amaretto.  Small cards showing how each flavor could be identified by the guests were placed on the cake table.

Groom’s Cake

 

Cindy chose to have a Groom’s cake as a Valentine surprise for Tim.  She chose a golf ball because  he is a golfer.  The golf ball is a six inch ball of Pink Champagne cake covered with white buttercream and added detail.  The “T” monogram was formed from red fondant.
