CAKE OF THE MONTH – NOVEMBER 2005

Bellus/Brown Wedding Cake Oct. 22, 2005
This Fall-themed wedding cake consisted of tiers of Kahlua Fudge and Classic White cakes covered with orange-tinted buttercream icing. Assorted white leaves cut from fondant, veined and dusted with pearl dust were placed randomly on each tier. Burnt orange ribbon was chosen for the bottom border of each tier.
Fresh floral arrangements of an orange rose surrounded with mums, fall berries and fern adorned the top of each tier. Acorns hand molded from tinted fondant and tootsie rolls were used as accents under the floral arrangements and also around the base tier along with fondant leaves dusted with pearl dust.
The cake was designed to serve 150 guests.
