My mother, Ruth E. Fowler

 

I baked my first cake at the age of 5 under my mother's watchful care.

Still at an early age I remember baking a cake from scratch and when I

removed it from the pan, it broke into several pieces.  Needless to say,

I was quite upset and thought the cake was ruined.  My mother  came

to my aid and carefully pieced the cake together with icing.  I continued

to ice and decorate the cake turning it into another creation by George.
